Available when your administrator has enabled custom properties in the Miscellaneous Settings page of the Oracle WebCenter Collaboration Administration Utility.
Users can create custom properties in the portal and then add these custom properties to Oracle WebCenter Collaboration documents. When a Oracle WebCenter Collaboration document is crawled or published to the Knowledge Directory, custom properties that have been mapped to document attributes will be attached to the corresponding document in the Knowledge Directory. Project leaders can define project-wide properties that exist for all documents in a project. Additionally, a project-wide property can be designated as required for publishing to the Knowledge Directory. Users will be asked to specify a value for required properties before publishing a document. Oracle WebCenter Collaboration content crawlers will not import documents with required properties that have no value.
