Tagging Engine Items Portlet

The Tagging Engine Items portlet lets you search for items. You can add the Tagging Engine Items portlet to your My Page. If you are a Community Manager, you can add this portlet to a community page.

Common Actions

You must have the View Tags capability to view tags. Click a tag to view the items that the tag is applied to.
Create a more complex search query using Tagging Engine Search Syntax.
In the search results, click the name of an item to open it.
Drill down within the search results to further narrow your search.

The calendar icon displays the date and time when the item was last modified.

Click	To
	Select the view that you want to use to filter your search results. Everyone's Tags: Display tags that anyone has applied to items. My Tags: You must have the Add Tags capability to have a My Tags view. Display only tags that you have applied to items. My Favorites: You must have the Add Favorites and Contacts capability to have a My Favorites view. Displays only items that you have added to your Favorites list. (If available) Custom view or Prescribed view (names of views vary). For more information about views, see About Views.
Search	Execute your search query.
Display in Tagging Engine	View your search results on the Items tab.
Properties...	View the item's properties. (The list of properties that appears after you click this link is usually more complete than the properties that appear within the search results.) The properties that appear are determined by your administrator.
	Launch the Tagging Engine Portlet Preferences page, which lets you modify the following preferences: The maximum number of popular and related tags that you want displayed in this portlet. The maximum number of search results that you want displayed on each page of this portlet's search results. Note: The numbers of tags and results to display settings that you configure on the Tagging Engine Portlet Preferences page override the same settings that you configure on the Tagging Engine Preferences page. The settings on the Tagging Engine Portlet Preferences page only affect the display of the Tagging Engine Items and Tagging Engine People portlets. You configure portlet display preferences such as the result types that you want to see in your search results by using the Tagging Engine Preferences page.
Apply Tags	You must have the Add Tags capability to apply tags. Launch the Tagging Engine - <name of item> dialog box, which lets you apply tags to and remove tags from the item. Click to remove a tag. You can only remove tags that you have applied.
Add to favorites	You must have the Add Favorites and Contacts capability to add favorites. Add the item to your Favorites list. Tip: To view all of your Favorites, choose the My Favorites view, then perform a search with a blank search query. Note: Favorites are unrelated to tags. Adding items to your Favorites list has no impact on the tags that are applied to those items.
Remove from favorites	Remove the item from your Favorites list.
