You can set default access levels and permissions for the Project Members and Project Guests roles of a project.

To set default permissions of a new project:
In the My Projects portlet, click
Explorer.
In the action bar, click
New.
The New Project dialog box appears.
Type a name for the project in the Name field.
Under Settings on the left, click Roles
and Permissions.
The Roles and Permissions page appears.
For the Project Members and Project Guests roles:
Click
Edit Permissions.
The Edit Permissions dialog box appears.
Set
the edit permissions for each of the objects.

Click
Finish.
You are returned to the New Project dialog box.
Configure the rest of the settings for the new project.
Click Finish.
You are returned to the My Projects portlet.
Setting Default Permissions of an Existing Project
To set default permissions of an existing project:
In the My Projects portlet, click
Explorer.
In the table pane of the Project Explorer, select a project.
In the action bar, click
in the
Edit
button, and, from the drop-down menu, select Edit Properties.
The Edit Project dialog box appears.
Under Settings on the left, click Roles
and Permissions.
The Roles and Permissions page appears.
For the Project Members and Project Guests roles:
Click
Edit Permissions.
The Edit Permissions dialog box appears.
Set
the edit permissions for each of the objects.
