The My Announcements and Community Announcements portlets display the latest announcements for selected projects (the selected projects are listed in the My Projects or Community Projects portlet). Announcements convey information from Project Leaders to users. Project users cannot respond to an announcement; it is simply a way to convey important news to all users. The announcements are listed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent announcement listed first.
To add a project to your My Projects portlet or to browse available projects, click Choose Projects. This displays Project Explorer.
To view the project associated with an announcement, click the project name. This displays Project Overview.
To change what you see in this portlet:
By default, this portlet displays announcements for all selected projects. To display only those announcemenets for a particular project, in the first View drop-down list, select the name of the project and click Update. To return to displaying items for all projects, select All Projects and click Update.
By default, this portlet displays ten announcements. To display greater or fewer announcements, in the second View drop-down list, select the number of announcements you want to display and click Update.
