Project Overview

Collaboration projects allow portal users to work together on joint efforts—sharing documents, setting schedules, and exchanging messages. The features of a project are designed to facilitate teamwork and include such items as a calendar, task lists, documents, discussions, announcements, and search. Projects and project features can be accessed from any community page or My Page where some or all collaboration portlets reside.

Project Overview provides a summary of the project. It displays the most recent announcements, uploaded documents or files, and discussion messages. The following information and functionality is available in the overview:

Project Information

This section displays the project description and status (percentage complete), both controlled by the Project Leader.

Announcements

Announcements convey information from Project Leaders to users. Project Members cannot respond to an announcement; it is simply a way to convey important news to all users.
