The Search Results page displays items that matched your query.

Search Results Section

This section shows the criteria you used to perform the search. You can perform another search using different criteria, if you want.

This section may also list categories where a match to your search string was found, and the number of matches found. You can perform a second search in any category listed in this section.

Note: If you originally searched only one category (not All Categories), categories do not appear in this section.

Beneath the category results are the query results themselves. Depending on the page or portlet from which you searched, the list might contain:

All items where a match of your search string was found
The project where the match was found

The results containing the most matches are listed first with your search string bolded.

Categories

An icon next to each result represents the category in which the item was found:

Searching

To run another search from this page, enter the search string in the Search text box, select the other criteria you want to use, then click .
To perform the same search in one of the categories listed in the Search Results section, click the category name.
To view an item, click its name or icon.
To go to the project that contains the item, click the project name.

Search Tips

If your search returned too many results, you can narrow your query by adding more specific search terms. For example, if a search for car returned too many results, you might search for car repair or car manufacturing. You can narrow your search to a single project if you know it contains what you want to find.
If your search did not return enough results, you can broaden your search by using the OR operator. For example, if a search for car returned too few results, you might search for car OR automobile.
If an expected result is not found, you might have limited the scope of your search too much. If you searched in Selected Projects, try the search again selecting All Projects.
